About Jacob M. Brown
Dr. Jacob Brown graduated with honors from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. Prior to studying at dental school, he attended BYU in Provo where he received his undergraduate degree in Human Biology. After completing his schooling, Dr. Brown entered the U.S. Army where he trained to become an officer and served as a general dentist at the Weisbaden Dental Clinic Command in Germany. Additionally, he was the Director of the Red Cross Dental Assistant Training Program and Officer in Charge at the Wackernheim Dental Clinic.
After completing his service in the military, Dr. Brown settled in Idaho where he has since been practicing dentistry. His favorite pastimes include spending time with his wife and five daughters, playing soccer, snowmobiling, and water skiing. He also spends time keeping up to date on many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care.

Finding Dr. Brown has been life-changing for me. A combination of infrequent visits to the dentist and bad dental experiences as a child led to great anxiety over dental procedures that continued into adulthood. From the time I would make an appointment, I would experience sleepless nights, loss of appetite, nausea, and nervousness until the actual procedure was completed. I recently broke a tooth and began looking for a new dentist, once again, as I have continued to have bad experiences. I called Castlebury Dental and spoke to Jenny about setting up an appointment. I let her know right away the anxiety I felt toward anything dental-related. She was very friendly and helpful. I went to my first appointment with my usual anxiety. Dr. Brown was very kind and listened to my concerns. Over the course of my next few visits, I found Dr. Brown to be an exceptional dentist. I have always been treated with respect. Dr. Brown never lectured me, or said anything that might embarrass me. I anticipated pain and discomfort during each procedure. I was pleasantly surprised that Dr. Brown's dental care was quite the opposite. I received caring, gentle, comfortable care with each procedure. My anxiety lessened with each visit. My visits came to be known as "spa days" as Amber remembered that I liked the massage mechanism turned on in the dental chair, headphones for the TV overhead, and a warm towel to freshen up with at the end of each procedure. I now know what it is like to make and keep a dental appointment and not be nervous about it at all...something I could never have imagined.
